Our Pastoral Visitors are happy to make home visits and to bring Communion at home to those who desire it.
Many people hesitate to request home visits. They think that only housebound people need the Vicar to call, whereas they plan to return to the church in person at some time.
Our home visit service isn’t just for the housebound. It is for anyone who wishes to receive it, whether they are unable to attend church permanently or even temporarily. Or it may simply be more convenient for them. Perhaps you don’t like driving to church in winter. Perhaps you have to stay in for Home Help Assistants who arrive at inconvenient times.
There may be a number of reasons why you can’t get to church without being housebound. Perhaps you are feeling under the weather a little bit, or maybe you are just feeling a little isolated or lonely at the moment. Whatever your reason is, bringing the Church to your home can help. We are happy to provide this service to all, not just the housebound.
